Avita was a much anticipated baby! She is an extremely long bodied and very dairy kid. She looks nearly identical to her dam as a kid. Avita is made even more special as she loves my daughter Peyton and allows her to walk her around everywhere!
Avita has freshened and all we can say is wow! She has been a fun yearling to show this year, being undefeated in all 10 rings she's been shown! And she's not just a pretty face...she's a hard working doe with her most recent test being 11.3 lbs!
Avita is correct in general appearance, standing on a correct set of feet and legs, long level topline, and a nice flat and wide rump. Her mammary system is beautifully shaped, high and widely arched in the rear and long and smooth in the fore with correct teat size and shape and good teat placement. She reminds us a ton of her dam and granddam at the same age....which is hopefully a sign of good things to come!
Avita has continued her winning ways in 2015! She easily finished her GCH at the first show of the year with 2 BDIS wins! She also placed 2nd/2nd udder at Nationals right behind her herdmate Veracruz!
Avita had a slow start to 2016 with a late freshening of a dead single buck and subsequent lower production. But she proved that she's a true hard worker and kept coming into more and more milk. At one point I thought she was going to be out for the year...but she sure proved me wrong! She was only shown twice and placed 2nd behind herdmate Veracruz both times. She was also a member of our Supreme Best 3 Females at the 2016 CA State Fair! We are hoping for an earlier and more normal freshening in 2017.
Confirmed Bred to: Autumn-Acres Titanium Due: March 19, 2018
