Couture has grown into a large, well balanced, beautiful dry yearling! She is so stylish, high headed and has that look at me attitude. She is extremely correct in her general appearance, level across her topline, and strong on her feet and legs. By the looks of her escutcheon, she should make for a pretty fancy milker when she freshens in 2023!
Couture has always been one of our picks in her age group, one of those hold your breath and hope nothing happens to her type of doe. We loved her size, frame, correct general appearance. And she has now freshened with a mammary that has us extremely excited! She has another socked on, BEAUTIFUL mammary! The height, width, correct teat size, shape, and placement, long and smooth fore...and another that is FULL of milk! First test was over 12 lbs at 2.5 weeks fresh!
Couture has had a fantastic show season, earning her 2nd GCH leg and also placing 1st/1st udder 2 year old at Nationals. She was also a member of our 1st place Dairy Herd and Best 3 Females!
Couture has matured and blossomed into a lovely, elegant, extremely productive doe. She is consistently one of our top producers in the parlor, she holds her lactation well into winter, and is just such an easy doe to work with. She knows her job and excels at it daily. And on top of that she excels in the showring....easily finishing her championship in 2024 with a BIS win. I would take a whole herd of just her!
Anyone that knows me knows that Couture is "my style" of goat. I love her presence, uphill stature, super level topline, deep chest, and that beautiful mammary with near perfect teats and teat placement. To have her accomplish all she has...winning her class at Nationals twice, and now being named the Reserve National Champion is just icing on the cake! Couture also won the high 305 milk for her 2024 Lactation as well as winning LaMancha Total Performer. We could not be more proud of her and are just so happy she's a member of our herd.
