Vicco came out looking great from the start. He greatly resembles his dam's style and structure with his uphill stature and long, level topline. He also stands on a strong set of feet and legs and has a beautiful wide, flat rump.
Vicco's Dam, Vintage, has had an impressive show career as well as being our top milker and highest appraising doe at EX93! She also comes from a very strong damline and she herself is a 5th generation National Show class winner! She has won many BDIS and BUIS awards! His sire, Zephyr, produced many lovely and milky uddered daughters in his short time at our farm. So we were thrilled to be able to use him AI again.
His first kids resemble him in style. They have been uniformly correct in their feet and legs, with the same uphill stature and level toplines. We can't wait to see udders! One of his daughters, Kastdemur's Avalon, won her dry leg and BJDIS her first time shown! His daughters also did quite well at the 2019 ADGA National Show with Vanity-Fair being 2nd place Intermediate Kid, Avalon 5th place Senior Yearling and his Jr Get of Sire was 1st place!
Vicco now has multiple daughters in our herd, and several more in other herds. They have beautifully shaped mammaries, long smooth fores and reduced teat size/length over their dams. They have also been extremely consistent in their milk production all year...long, level lactations. They are also long bodied, level does. We are pleased!
Vicco daughters can be slow to come into themselves, so if you decide to use him just give the daughters some time! Patience pays off...
