Bombay is a standout! She is so long, so tall, so level. She is very dairy and open in her ribbing. She has good substance and strength of bone. She is affectionately called "baby Slice" as she is a little clone of one of my all time favorite does, SGCH Kastdemur's Slice EX93!
Bombay lost her pregnancy a month early this year, but came into decent production! Her udder is extremely well attched, long fore, and beautifully shaped. Bombay is the style I just love, being extreme in her size and length. She is by far the tallest of our yearlings, and it may take her a couple years to fill out (can you say "next year goat?!"), but she will be more than worth the wait. She is so tall that her udder seems small in relation to her size right now, but that will all change with additional freshenings (and "real" freshenings!) We are excited to watch her mature!
Bombay made a huge leap in maturity as a 2nd freshener! As just a 2 year old, she is our tallest, longest doe in the herd...I just love her extreme style. This year she has gained the depth of body she lacked as a yearling, and added tons of capacity to her mammary! She is also extremely structurally correct starting with her beautiful front end, extentsion of brisket, sound feet and legs, uphill level topline, and her extremely wide flat rump. Her ease of motion and watching her walk around the barn always catches my attention. These were some of the many reasons we are thrilled to be using her 2022 son in our herd!
Bombay continues to mature and deepen more and more every year! She is one of my favorite goats to show, she loves to show herself off and has probably the best general appearance in the herd! She is a doe that is just going to get better and better every year and we are excited to see her fully mature!
