Moulin Rouge is a very well balanced, smoothly put together
doe. You could call her pretty fancy! She's a
full sister to our Misha, who was 1st pl. 2 yr. old at the 2008
National Show. It's kind of funny looking at the pictures
here, she's
probably about twice or three times the size of what you see above! She
continues to grow & mature, and get wider & deeper. Moulin
appraising VG89 as a yearling milker was exciting for us.
She unfortunately picked up a mastitis in one side of her udder
mid-summer @ the 2009 Nationals. The one side of the udder has continues to function
well and is extremely strongly attached - high in the rear -
long in the fore.
We were proud of her placing at the 2009 National Show.
She was a fairly immature bodied yearling - very correct, very
dairy, very angular & smooth, but now showing the depth & width
of some of the others in the class. However that mammary
system is socked on - and she earned 1st place udder in that
class!
While we keep fighting the damage to the 1/2 of her udder, we
haven't won the battle yet and aren't going to give up. We
still get to see the amazing good half every year - and feel her
genetics are so important to maintain. Each of her kids
have been beautiful, strong in breed character & general
appearance!
Moulin's daughter Baton Rouge freshened as a yearling last
year and we couldn't be more pleased! Baton is everything
we had wanted from the breeding of Moulin to Time...hence the
repeat breeding!
