Mystere was 2nd pl. Jr. Kid at the
National Show in 2004 - a lovely tall, long and very correct
kid! We kept her as
a dry in 2005, and she represented us well. She was 2nd pl. Sr. Yearling at the 2005
Nationals, was part of the 1st place Jr. Get, and the
1st place Best 3 Jr. Does as well. Then....she freshened with
this absolutely amazing mammary system. While she's a bit
off balance from the rear in this picture, we really hope you
can appreciate the correctness of this mammary system that is so
well attached. Not only is it a correct mammary system, it
milks! She's produced over 3,000 lbs. in both her 2 & 3 year
old years and is on track to do the same thing again as a 4 year
old. At the 2008 National Show she was 7th place with 3rd udder
and was awarded the High Single Lactation Milk & Fat Award for
Nubians. In 2010 she finished her SGCH as a 6 year old and
appraised EX91....we are so proud of her!
Where this does incredible strength lies is in her
offspring. Her daughter Misha (1st place 2 yr. old 2008
Natls) and she won 1st place Dam
& Daughter at the 2008 National Show. In fact, while
Misha was still alive, they
won the Dam & Daughter class every time they competed.
She does have another beautiful daughter in our herd now -
Kastdemur's Moulin Rouge who just appraised VG89 as a yearling
milker and was 4th pl/1st udder at the 2009 National Show. Mamma
Mia has been first five times in her yearling milker class.
Each of her daughters have also reflected the productivity that
we see in Mystere in their record.
She's had several sons over the past
couple of years and we've heard good things about them - with
the two who have been appraised as young stock were both
EC. One yearling son appraised VG89 and another appraised
EX90 and EX91 as a two year old.! Her offspring
are strong in general appearance, her daughters strong in mammary
system as well. What a wonderful Nubian she is! The
exciting thing is her helping us to meet our goals of having
Nubians that are able to produce offspring that are as good, if
not better, than they themselves. Of
course, King of the Hill will now probably be her
"husband" for the rest of her life because of these
beautiful offspring!
