Chocolat is such a steady, easy going, easily
managed animal...just a pleasure. She’s very correct overall, with a beautiful mammary system
that has tremendous strength and height of rear udder, with a wide rear
udder arch along with strong medial and correct teat placement. She was 2nd in her class at the 2004 National Show
behind Bad News but got 1st udder - then went on to be named
Best LaMancha Udder! Her
daughter Kastdemur’s Chava 3*M was 2nd pl. Yrlg. Milker and
together they won the 1st pl. Dam & Daughter class at the
2004 National Show. Chava appraised VG89 and daughter Sundae appraised
EX90 a couple of years ago. Chocolat stood 10th
place in her class at both the 2005 & 2006 Nationals, but we thought she looked pretty
terrific (check out the DVD!) At the 2005 CA State Fair she
placed GCH LaMancha overall defeating our Slice who had been
National Champion that year. Chocolat's yearling milker daughter
Scheherazade placed 6th at the 2006 Natls, and appraised EX90 (EVEE),
continuing to prove that this is a very strong doe line.
Chocolat's beautiful
granddaughter Sugar Sugar was one of our very favorite does. After
we lost her this year, we decided to try to get close to that breeding
once again. We tried to get her bred to Sting (Sugar's Sire), but
weren't able to get her to settle AI. We did however, have
Landslide here - another Slice son who just appraised EX92 and is a
"hunk" of a buck! We're excited to see what this produces for us!
