Vanuatu is simply
breathtaking. She's so impressive with her dairiness,
angularity, strength of bone, stretch throughout and correctness
of feet and legs. The tallest, longest doe in her class
every time shown as a yearling, she stood 1st at both the ADGA
National Show and the CA State Fair where she was also Jr.
Champion.....this is the type of doe we want to keep repeating. Vanu
did not disappoint us when she freshened - this year she
appraised EX93 (EEEE) and is working on a lactation that
produced almost 2600 lbs. Vanu was GCH at the first show of the
year, finishing her championship relatively easily. We had
to wait for everything to come together on her - but it's been
well worth the wait. We'd love to have a whole herd of
Vanuatu's!
In 2009 Vanu
freshened once again with a beautiful, capacious highly
productive mammary system, but unfortunately started going off
balance rather quickly. We made the tough decision to dry
her up, treat her aggressively and hopefully get her back in the
ring competitively in 2010. Then in 2010 she freshened
with a single small doe kid and just didn't produce the way we
feel she needed to in order to be competitive in the show ring.
Vanu's daughter
Island of Fire was the 1st place Sr. Yearling and Reserve Junior
Champion at the 2009 National Show! She's so much like her
dam - long and tall and very correct. One of her 2009 doe
kids remains in the herd, Tocantin is her name. Crossing
her with the productivity that comes in the Tach Lach daughters
makes us excited for this year's kids.
In 2011 Vanu
freshened with buck/doe twins, both of which were retained!
They are gorgeous....long, tall, and level...everything we
expected them to be!
Vanu continues to prove what an incredible brood doe she has
become. Her daughters Fire and Toca won the 1st place
produce of dam class for her at the 2012 Nationals, another
daughter Venezuela was Jr Champion at nationals, and her most
recent daughter Ventura also won her Jr Kid class at Nationals.
If you're looking for size and beautiful mammaries....Vanu is
the doe for you! All of Vanu's offspring have her impressive
size and all have freshened with beautiful, well attached
mammaries with correct teat placement.
