After losing Misha, we just kept holding our breath that her daughter
Mardi would follow in her footsteps and be as lovely as we
hoped. She is. Mardi has a wonderful, easy going
temperament and seems to roll with whatever is going on around
her with an easy, laid back attitude.....just as long as you
make sure her food is in front of her!
Mardi always placed
well as a kid for us, almost every time a 2nd!!! She's an eye
catching color - with a beautiful head and ears, large & strong
in bone & body! All she needed to come up with for us was
a mammary system that was productive & well attached.
Thank goodness...she did. She has one of those udders that
has just kept getting better as the year has gone on. It's
extremely capacious and soft in texture as well as productive!
At both the 2009
Sonoma County Fair & the CA State Fair she was 1st with 1st
udder. At the CA State Fair, she even won the Reserve Best
Udder award to our Temerity. Mardi was 2nd place Yearling
Milker at the 2009 ADGA National Show with 3rd udder - and we
were so proud of how beautiful and correct she looked in the
ring. She also earned a GCH & RGCH at the last show of
the year....so finished the year out with a bang!
In 2010 she came
back and finished her GCH as a two year old at the first show of
the year. At the CA State Fair she was 1st with 1st udder
and was Reserve GCH to Temerity with Best Udder!
Mardi decided to
take 2011 off...not to our liking! Well she's back on
track for 2012 and is confirmed bred to Time...we can't wait to
see these kids!
